Privacy policy

This page is maintained by TrustConnect to explain what we collect and how it is used. It describes our current practices, not an independent audit or certification.

What we collect

Account details you give us: name, phone number, email and the state you operate in. Load details: cargo description, weight, route, pickup date, contact phone and optional budget. Fleet details: plate numbers, truck type and capacity, driver names, phone numbers and licence numbers. Activity: connections, fee payments and agent check-in records.

Verification details, which depend on your account type: identity details, proof of address or operating location, business registration details for companies, driver licence details, guarantor details, vehicle papers and insurance, plus photos of trucks, drivers and documents. Trip records: pickup codes, arrival and delivery reports, condition photos at pickup and delivery, and anything you send in a dispute.

Messages you send in a load chat or to support, alert settings, and — if you allow it — your approximate location, used only to suggest the state you are picking up from.

When contact details are shared

Phone numbers are hidden by default. A cargo owner's load contact and a driver's phone number are released to each other only after both connection fees are settled. A truck owner sees connections involving their own trucks and drivers. A state agent sees the connections and pickup details for loads collecting in their state, so they can carry out the check-in.

How we use it

To run the connection service, verify drivers and vehicles, take payment of connection fees, send alerts about your loads and trucks, and investigate disputes or misuse. We do not sell your data and we do not send marketing on behalf of third parties.

We use automated checks to help estimate cargo weight from your description, suggest suitable drivers, and flag documents or photos that look altered or reused. Automated flags do not decide anything on their own — a person reviews a flag before an account, truck or driver is affected, and you can send fresh evidence for a re-check.

Payments

Card and bank payments are handled by Paystack. We send them the amount, your email and a reference for the item you are paying for, and we receive back the payment status and reference. We never see or store your card number, PIN or bank login. Paystack processes this data under its own privacy terms.

Alerts and messages

We send in-app alerts and, where you allow it, browser notifications. If notifications cannot reach you, we may send an SMS to the phone number on your account for important events such as a new match, a settled fee or a delivery confirmation. Receipts may be emailed to the address on your account. These are service messages, not marketing.

Where it is stored

Account and platform data is held in our managed cloud database with access rules that restrict every record to the people described above. Access by our own team is limited to support, verification and dispute handling.

How long we keep it

Connection and payment records are kept while your account is active and afterwards for as long as we need them for accounting and dispute purposes. Loads and fleet entries you delete are removed from the app immediately.

Verification documents and condition photos are kept while they are relevant to your account or to an open or recent dispute, and are then removed.

Your choices

You can correct your profile, fleet and load details at any time in the app, and you can ask us to delete your account. Ask through the support address shown in your account and we will confirm what can be removed and what we must retain.

Cookies

We use only the storage needed to keep you signed in. We do not run advertising trackers.
